Carhartt W.I.P. x Uncle Paulie’s

Uncle Paulie’s x Carhartt W.I.P. — Holiday Charity Collaboration

Apparel Design · Illustration · Brand Collaboration

I was asked by Uncle Paulie’s and Carhartt W.I.P. to design a long sleeve tee for their Holiday 2020 collaboration, created to help children in need during a particularly difficult season. On December 15th, both shops released limited-edition shirts with 100% of proceeds donated to @lafoodbank and @streetworknyc, supporting urban youth impacted by COVID-19.

I wanted to create a service-style tee — something I would’ve worn back in my deli and corner-store days. The Carhartt W.I.P. pocket tee, featuring their signature woven C logo patch, made the perfect canvas. I researched Carhartt’s early branding and discovered their original script logo and heart emblem, which inspired the design.

I redrew the vintage Carhartt script, replaced their classic train car graphic with an illustrated “ideal sandwich”, and incorporated university-style lettering for Uncle Paulie’s to complete the look. The piece was finished with store locations and contact details, tying it all together in a red, white, and blue color motif that felt authentic and timeless.

It was a joy to contribute to such a meaningful cause alongside friends and collaborators I deeply respect.
