Diplo — d00mscrvll (Volume 1)

Creative Direction, Worldbuilding, Typography, Illustration and Visual Identity System

d00mscrvll is more than an album — it’s the foundation of a cinematic universe. For Volume 1, I created the main cover art and a full system of eight single artworks, each acting as a portal into a dystopian world shaped by Diplo’s sound — a collision of lo-fi Memphis rap, Baile funk from Brazil, and neon-drenched Neo-Tokyo futurism.

I developed the entire visual language and mythology behind the project — from character archetypes and Zero iconography to the serialized release structure and glitch-driven halftone aesthetic that ties the universe together. Every texture, color, and type treatment was designed to feel like a fragment of a larger world — one that expands across music, motion, and storytelling.

This is just the beginning of the d00mscrvll saga. Volume 2 is currently in development, continuing to evolve this hybrid of sound and science fiction into a living, breathing mythology.
