Chito Vera — Abu Dhabi Fight Capsule

Ahead of UFC fighter Chito Vera’s match in Abu Dhabi, I created commemorative artwork that captured the duality of his persona—brutal and relentless inside the octagon, grounded and calm outside of it.

The design centered around a custom hand-drawn wordmark inspired by black metal typography, sharp and gothic in form to evoke intensity and intimidation. Below it, a halftone image of Chito with arms raised in victory—his signature grin cutting through the chaos—balanced that aggression with humility and human warmth.

The final composition was featured on a limited-edition AM-FM commemorative tee released in celebration of the fight, merging fight culture, music aesthetics, and underground design sensibility into a single visual statement.
