HUF x JanSport x Red Wing — Right Pack Collaboration

Creative Direction · Product Design · Brand Strategy · Material Development

While serving as Creative Director at HUF, I led a three-way collaboration with JanSport and Red Wing that reimagined the iconic Right Pack silhouette through the lens of craftsmanship and skate functionality. The goal was to elevate a classic while staying true to HUF’s core audience.

The design paired durable canvas construction with full-grain Red Wing leather, laser-etched with a custom HUF pattern for a refined yet rugged finish. To speak directly to the skate community, we integrated a PU-coated “Shoes-N-Booze” interior roll pocket—designed to store worn sneakers after a session—and a hidden stash pocket built discreetly into the padded back panel.

Additional details included antique brass hardware, co-branded leather patches, tricot-lined tech sleeves, and a balance of utility and design that made the collaboration both collectible and functional. The project exemplified HUF’s ethos of bridging heritage craftsmanship with skate-driven innovation.
